IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT IN AND FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA CASE NO. 08-22603-CIV-JUDGE COOKE/MAGISTRATE BANDSTRA JOHN B. THOMPSON, SUPPLEMENT TO PLAINTIFF'S VERIFIED MOTION TO DISQUALIFY ALL FLORIDA BAR MEMBER JUDGES FROM PRESIDING OVER THIS CASE COMES NOW PLAINTIFF, on his own behalf, and supplements his motion that all federal judges who are members of The Florida Bar be disqualified from presiding over this case, stating further: 1. Plaintiff, in further support of his already filed motion to disqualify all Florida Bar member judges from presiding over this matter, cites 28 USC 455, which mandates such disqualification if the subject judge has a financial interest in the outcome, "however small." All Judges in this U.S. District Court are members of the Florida Bar and thus have a financial interest in the outcome of plaintiff's complaint for money damages against The Bar. 2. Further, pursuant to 28 USC 144, plaintiff further asserts that Judge Cooke, by virtue of communications by Chief Judge Federico Moreno and US Marshal Christina Pharo to court personnel, including, apparently, to U.S. District Court Judges in the Southern District of Florida, that Thompson constitutes a terroristic threat to court personnel, has "poisoned the well" as to each and every Judge in this District against him. 3. The harassment of Thompson in his home and at the courthouse itself by the US Marshal, along with the Deputies' admitted "monitoring" of Thompson by the US Marshal, which apparently includes electronic surveillance of Thompson, is further proof of the unfortunate but consequential paranoia of the Chief Judge and US Marshal that works to deny Thompson fair proceedings before any Judge in this District. Thompson notes that he is not the one who is paranoid here in asserting that the Chief Judge and US Marshal have fabricated a threat where there is none. 4. Plaintiff supplements this additional ground for disqualification by certifying that it is made in good faith. I SOLEMNLY SWEAR that the foregoing facts are true, correct, and complete, so help me God, and I certify, as indicated above, that this motion to disqualify is made in good faith.
